Mike Kobeissi has written about real estate, historic homes and the housing industry, on Medium and WordPress and on his Blogger blog, and this bibliography lists those pieces by date. Writing on old houses depends on two kinds of record above all. The National Register of Historic Places keeps a file on every listing: the National Park Service explains that more than 95,000 properties have been listed since 1966, and that each registration form gives a physical description of the place, its history and significance, and a bibliography of its own.1 Architects’ papers are the other. The Myron Hunt and H. C. Chambers records at the University of California, Santa Barbara, for example, fill 33 linear feet with photographs, negatives, clippings, correspondence, contracts and drawings from a Los Angeles practice that ran from 1920 to 1947.2

Each listing below gives a piece’s title, its channel and its date, with a link to the original. Its reference entry on this site sets out what the piece argues and credits the argument to him, without reprinting the text. The list lengthens as he publishes, and an RSS feed carries every addition.
